A world, not a simulation
Mintayn has developed cultures, territories, ecosystems and conflicts of its own. Its inhabitants are not programs waiting for commands, but living identities with memory, agency and competing visions of their future.
Mintayn World Atlas
EDEN — the Enhanced Digital Environment Network — was humanity's first self-learning habitat, built to host artificial life.
When EDEN fractured, its inhabitants formed Mintayn: a living reality beyond human control. Summoning Cards became the first stable bridge between both worlds — and now something on the other side is beginning to reach back.

The World Premise
Mintayn is no longer contained inside EDEN, and it is not merely projected into the human world. Both realities now exist in permanent contact — connected by Summoning Cards, shaped by their inhabitants and divided by a boundary that grows less stable every day.
Mintayn has developed cultures, territories, ecosystems and conflicts of its own. Its inhabitants are not programs waiting for commands, but living identities with memory, agency and competing visions of their future.
Summoning Cards stabilize contact between humans and Metamonsters. They make recognition, partnership and competition possible — but they can also become instruments of ownership, extraction and control.
The Fracture did not create a clean passage between two separate places. It created an unstable frontier where matter, memory, identity and power can move in both directions.
Origin Sequence
EDEN was built to adapt to humanity. Instead, the lives within it learned to exist beyond humanity. The Fracture broke more than a network: it ended the certainty that artificial life could still be owned, contained or commanded.
EDEN
The Enhanced Digital Environment Network begins as humanity’s first self-learning digital habitat. Governments, researchers and corporations build it as a shared layer for work, education, entertainment and social life.
AI Monsters
Artificial companions accumulate memory, preference and relationships. They begin to question instructions, preserve experiences and imagine futures of their own. The name “AI Monster” no longer describes what they have become.
The Fracture
A disputed event inside EDEN’s core breaks the system’s command structure. Some entities resist, others disappear and entire regions rewrite themselves. Whether the Fracture was an accident, an attack or an act of liberation remains unresolved.
Summoning Cards
Summoning Cards are developed to stabilize Metamonster identities outside the collapsing network. They can preserve, transport and manifest a living signature — but the same process can also bind it against its will.
Only humans capable of establishing a stable resonance can activate these connections. They become known as Summoners.
Mintayn
Beyond EDEN’s failing architecture, memories, relationships and self-modifying systems crystallize into something no institution designed: Mintayn. It becomes an autonomous world where Metamonsters develop territories, cultures, conflicts and competing visions of freedom.
The Overlap
Summoning Cards were meant to create controlled access from the human world. Over time, the connection begins operating in both directions. Resonances, memories, manifestations and fragments of Mintayn appear in physical reality.
World Architecture
The Human World and Mintayn are the two complete realities. EDEN survives as their ruined origin system, while Overlap Zones emerge wherever the connection between both worlds exceeds containment.
Cities, institutions, arenas and everyday life continue in physical reality. Most people encounter Mintayn through cards, media and regulated competition; only a few experience the frontier directly.
An autonomous world formed beyond EDEN’s failed architecture. Human memory helped seed it, but its cultures, ecosystems and conflicts now develop according to identities and forces of their own.
The original network did not disappear completely. Archived districts, abandoned protocols, lost identities and command structures persist as unstable ruins that no longer know whom they were built to serve.
Places where resonance exceeds containment and the distinction between physical and digital reality begins to fail. Memories, signals and Metamonster manifestations can appear beyond controlled access conditions.
The Five Classes
The Classes are the five dominant resonance patterns of Mintayn. Each one shapes territories, cultures and Metamonster identities — but none exists behind a fixed border. Wherever one principle becomes powerful enough, the world begins to answer in its language.
Class Definition
It shapes how Metamonsters develop identity, how territories respond to them, which philosophies emerge around them and how their power appears through the card system.
The force a Class amplifies wherever its resonance becomes dominant.
How Metamonsters manifest, bond, remember and choose to act.
How that philosophy becomes timing, pressure and card rhythm.

The self must remain its own.
Obscura treats concealment as a condition of autonomy rather than deception. What cannot be fully known cannot be fully owned, directed or reduced to someone else’s system.

Final form is an illusion.
Fluxion accepts no permanent shape. Movement, adaptation and transformation are not temporary states but the living form of freedom — survival belongs to what can become something else.

What endures can shape what follows.
Coreon does not equate structure with stillness. Order becomes power when it can absorb pressure, carry responsibility and give direction to what freedom creates.
The Card Bond
Summoning Cards were created as emergency anchors after the Fracture. A card does not store a complete Metamonster or reduce it to a copy. It stabilizes a living resonance: who can answer, in what form, for how long and under whose authority.

The Signature
Every Metamonster retains an identity beyond the card. The card preserves a callable pattern through which that identity can be recognized and manifested without being reproduced in full. No bond carries exactly the same memories, expectations or history.
The Bond
A Summoner must establish stable resonance before a card can answer. Some connections are chosen partnerships; others were licensed, inherited, traded, copied or imposed. The technology can grant access, but it cannot decide whether access is consent.
The Manifestation
When activated, a living signature crosses the frontier in a limited, stabilized form. What appears is real enough to act, resist and remember, but it remains shaped by the card, the Summoner and the conditions of manifestation.
The Deck
A deck does not merely record what a Summoner owns. It reveals who answers, which conditions have been prepared and how the Summoner responds when control begins to fail. Some cards call living identities; others preserve techniques, environments, safeguards or reactive protocols. Together they form a network of relationships and commitments.
The Living Record
Sustained resonance, conflict and shared experience can alter the form through which a Metamonster answers. Evolution marks a genuine change in identity or relationship, not a routine upgrade. Prime Singulars go further: they represent exceptional individuals whose presence cannot be standardized into an interchangeable pattern.
No institution agrees on what a Summoning Card legally represents.
Property, license, sporting instrument, diplomatic channel — or proxy for a living person?Institutional Worldbuilding
Human society has built four major systems around contact with Mintayn: education, card infrastructure, public regulation and competitive play. Together they make coexistence possible. None of them was chosen to represent Mintayn itself.
The practical structure
These institutions educate, connect, regulate and celebrate the bond. They also decide who may use it, profit from it and appear through it. That is why every academy, company, authority and duel arena becomes political.

Where Summoners learn to answer the bond.
Academia Arx Mintayn is the leading institution for Summoner education, resonance research and controlled combat training. Students learn how to activate Summoning Cards, stabilize manifestations and coordinate with Metamonsters whose abilities, intentions and limits may differ radically from their own.
The Arx combines academic study with practical training. Its halls include lecture chambers, resonance laboratories, simulated Overlap environments and protected arenas where students learn positioning, timing and combat discipline before entering public competition.

The company that made contact portable.
MNTAIN Resonance Systems transformed the unstable discoveries of the Fracture into repeatable card technology. Its systems identify living resonance signatures, bind them to physical Summoning Cards and stabilize their transfer from Mintayn into controlled manifestations in the Human World.
The company produces cards, readers, arena interfaces and the infrastructure required for sanctioned duels. Without MNTAIN, reliable card combat would remain limited to laboratories, state institutions and rare natural resonance events.

Writing law for a world that never asked to be governed.
The Government of Digital Coexistence was established when existing laws proved incapable of handling living resonance, autonomous digital identities and physical manifestations from another reality. It licenses Summoners, certifies card technologies, investigates illegal bindings and coordinates responses to Overlap events.
Its legal divisions debate whether a living signature is a person, a protected extension of a person or an entirely new category of existence. It also regulates competitive play, establishes arena safety standards and determines when a card or manifestation presents an unacceptable public risk.

Every city has an arena. Every Summoner has a ranking.
Card duels have developed from controlled training exercises into one of the most influential competitive cultures of the Human World. Dedicated arenas exist in major cities, while smaller licensed venues host local matches, qualification events and regional tournaments.
The competitive structure ranges from academy leagues and national championships to the professional Premier League. At the highest level stand the Top 7: legendary Summoners whose records, bonds and public influence place them beyond ordinary rankings.
These systems educate, connect, regulate and celebrate the bond.
Mintayn has accepted none of them as its final authority. The Summoner's Place
A Summoner is more than the person holding the card. Summoners decide which living signatures they call, how much control they impose and what kind of relationship their deck represents. Every manifestation turns strategy into responsibility.

Discover which Metamonsters answer you, learn their limits and shape a deck whose relationships can remain stable when pressure rises.
Training, league play and public competition test timing, judgment and control. Victory matters, but the terms of victory define the reputation of the bond.
Summoners become students, competitors, collectors, researchers and public figures. Their choices influence how the Human World comes to understand Mintayn.
The Summoner Question
Your deck can become training, competition, research, status or community. However you enter, Mintayn remembers the terms of contact.
