Organized Play
Organized Play is the backbone of Mintayn’s competitive and community ecosystem. It ensures that players of every level—from casual duelists to professionals—find meaningful opportunities to participate, compete, and grow.
Local Play
- Shops & Cafés: Community hubs such as MetaShops host weekly duels, casual leagues, and proxy-friendly events.
- Casual Inclusivity: Players can bring proxies or official prints; what matters is NFT ownership verification via Deckbuilder and Wallet Connect.
- Community Spirit: Local games often serve as entry points into guilds and leagues, fostering direct social connections.
Regional Leagues
- Guild & League Structures: Players can join regional leagues run by guilds, shops, or fan organizations.
- RES Integration: Every match result feeds directly into the global ranking system.
- Hybrid Formats: Matches can occur in-person or over videochat, with the same validation process ensuring fairness.
- Seasonal Cycles: Regional leagues operate in competitive “seasons,” aligning with expansion sets and lore arcs.
National & Global Tournaments
- Major Events:
- National Championships in major capitals, often tied to festivals or lore milestones.
- World Championships in Nyron, the neutral capital, where digital and physical play merge into one hybrid spectacle.
- Broadcasting & Esports: Events are streamed on ResNet TV and digital platforms, with NFT badges displayed in overlays for verified participants.
- Prize Structure: Rewards include rare or exclusive NFT cards, event-specific artworks, and community prestige.
Special Formats & Events
- Story-Tied Formats: Seasonal formats align with narrative arcs (e.g., The Fracture Cup, Synapha Festival Duels).
- Community Formats: Players can propose new modes through the Customizing Card Tools. Popular formats may become official.
- Experimental Arenas: Fluxora labs and Aetheria dream zones host events with variant rules, often serving as testing grounds for future mechanics.
Verification in Competitive Play
- Pre-Match Validation: Before every official match, the Deckbuilder verifies ownership via Wallet Connect.
- Proxy Legitimacy: Proxies remain tournament-legal if backed by verified NFTs.
- Organizational Transparency: Tournament organizers can instantly confirm deck authenticity, ensuring competitive integrity across all levels.
Online Organized Play & Scheduling
- Website Matchmaking: Players can schedule official matches directly through the Mintayn website or companion app.
- Regional Ladders: Online results are automatically tracked into regional leaderboards.
- Global Ladder: Players climb a worldwide ranking ladder by playing verified matches, regardless of physical location.
- Hybrid Tournaments: Online duels contribute equally to the RES system as physical events, ensuring one unified competitive ecosystem.
- Social Layer: Guilds and leagues can create their own online lobbies, coordinate tournaments, and share match results directly into the system.
Resonance Equivalence Status (RES)
The Resonance Equivalence Status (RES) is Mintayn’s global ranking system. It reflects not only wins and losses, but also the depth of resonance between Summoner and Monster.
- Scoring Principles:
- Every player begins at 1000 RES.
- Defeating higher-ranked opponents yields more points.
- Losses against much weaker opponents reduce RES significantly.
- Metrics such as deck complexity, class diversity, and resonance depth (measured via Meta-Device) influence rating.
- Rank Tiers:
- Cadet (0–899) – Street Player, Initiate of Resonance
- Challenger (900–1299) – Apprentice Duellant
- Expert (1300–1699) – Ranked Competitor
- Elite (1700–2099) – Tournament Victor, City Defender
- Master (2100–2399) – Arx Graduate, Five-Sphere Specialist
- Legend (2400–2699) – Grand Duelist, Regional Champion
- Mythos (2700+) – World Duelist, Mentor, Keeper of Hidden Classes
- Integration Across Formats: RES is updated live from both online and physical matches. A café duel, a videochat match, or a championship final all feed into the same ranking system.
- RES Transparency: Current RES status is linked to every player’s NFT profile, visible in Deckbuilder, tournaments, and streaming overlays. Players may choose to hide it, but public display is a badge of honor.
